Does one have to receive Holy Communion every Mass?
No. One is only required by the Church to receive Holy Communion once a year in either Lent or Easter. One should never feel compelled to receive because everyone else is receiving or worry about what other will think if one does not receive. It is highly encouraged by many saints including Pope St. Pius X that one should receive as frequently as possible because of the incredible graces given to us at Mass.
